Graduation Information

Application Packet SUBMISSION FOR GRADUATION

You must submit a graduation application packet to get your degree(s) conferred and have the option of participating in the commencement ceremony. It is your responsibility (not your instructor/advisor) to apply for graduation by the deadline for the semester in which you intend to graduate.

You must submit your completed, accurate, and signed graduation application packet which includes your application with a system-generated academic evaluation(s) signed and dated by your academic advisor from the department of your major for each major you are applying. Here is a link to academic advisor information.

Submit your graduation application packet via email to graduation@tina-design-objects.net by the deadline for the semester you intend to complete your program requirements. Incomplete application packets are not accepted.

Graduation Requirements

• All correspondence goes to your WebDMC email account.
• Participation in commencement and inclusion in printed materials does not ensure graduation from Del Mar College.
• You must complete all program requirements by the end of the term you are applying.
• Evaluation of credentials will begin after the final grades post.
• Successful completion of program requirements is required for graduation.
• An accumulative GPA of 2.0 is required to graduate.
• You must complete 25% of their degree requirement from Del Mar College.
• All subsequent degrees must differ from any prior degree from Del Mar College by 20% of the required semester hours.
• If all requirements are met, you will receive your diploma 6 – 8 weeks after commencement.

Deadlines

• Spring 2024 (Commencement Ceremony): Wednesday, February 21, 2024
• Summer 2024 (Conferral ONLY): Thursday, June 20, 2024

Commencement Ceremony

• There is no commencement ceremony for Summer.
• Spring Semester 2024 Commencement Ceremony: Friday, May 17, 2024

Regalia

You can purchase commencement ceremony regalia (cap, gown, and tassel) online at www.dmcbookstore.com or by contacting the DMC Bookstore by email at dmc@texasbook.com or by phone (361) 884-1823 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.

Live Stream

The Commencement ceremony will be streamed live. The page link will be available 15 minutes before the start of the ceremony.

Diplomas

Diplomas are mailed to you within approximately six to eight business weeks after the semester ends.
